Meet the commissioner

Hi, I'm Dani Greene, the editor behind LawnLeagues. I built the site to make backyard-game rules easier to verify, product choices easier to compare, and group play easier to organize.

The goal is simple. When you land here, you should be able to learn a game in minutes, pick gear you won't regret, and build the perfect lineup for your crowd, whether that's a wedding, a tailgate, or a Tuesday in the backyard with the kids.

How the picks are made

Our gear picks are researched, not lab-tested. We compare official rules, manufacturer specifications, exact retailer listings and patterns in owner reviews. I also play these games: I run the games at our block's Fourth every year, and my crew of nieces and nephews comes back for stomp rocket contests every summer. When a page tells one of those stories, it happened. When a page says something about how a product performs, it says where that comes from.
